Canada Day
With Canada Day fast approaching, I thought I would post some a patriotic card or two. Living in Phoenix part time has made me aware that while Canadians are every bit as proud of their country as Americans are of theirs, we don’t show it nearly as much.
Supplies: High Hopes Northwood Stack stamp set, Michaels Proud stamp, Fineline Masking Fluid, Peerless watercolours,Copic markers, x-press it paper, recollections card base, and scor tape.
Hanging Loose
Today was such a beautiful day, that I decided to go out for lunch and then drive around in my car with the top down. As a result, I didn’t spend too much time in my Hobbit Hole (as Dennis calls it) crafting things.
I did manage to make one card. Nothing special but it is a different style for me. I am not too comfortable with loose watercolour. There is something about going outside the lines, that gets me all tensed up. I bought this stylistic doodley (my computer doesn’t think doodley is a word ;-( ) stamp to force myself to paint loosely. Anyway, I think it turned out OK.
Supplies: Wplus9 Doodle Buds stamp set, Tim Holtz Distress watercolour paper, Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours (By the time you learn to say this properly, you will have become an excellent painter), Recollections card base, and Scor tape.
