I have loved these little creatures ever since the movie The Lion King came out.  Meerkat Moms do some amazing things to protect and raise their young.  One of the craziest is that they find scorpions  AND bite off their stingers before  giving the rest of the live scorpions to their young for lunch.   Now that is Mom-ism at its’ finest I would say.  They live in groups called mobs.  Really?  The tough teenage meerkats must like that……………yeah I live with the mob!!
