Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend but I wouldn’t turn down Rubies, Emeralds and Sapphires either!
Challenge at Wplus9 right now is to pull out the first Wplus9 stamp set each crafter bought and make something with it. I have to confess I cheated just a tad. I think the first set I got was Fresh Cut Florals, but that set is SO timeless I have used it countless times before and recently. So I opted for a stamp set with a few less layers of ink on it, and pulled out Sparkle and Shine. I knew I wanted to use embossing and watercolour, but I also wanted MEGA intensity as well as sparkle and shine. I pulled out a recent purchase of Ken Oliver’s Color Burst powder watercolours and Voila! instant intensity. Clear embossing powder, Imagine Crafts Sparkle Spritz and Glossy Accents provided the sparkle and shine.
Although it is hard to capture in a picture, these gems sparkle like the real thing!
Supplies: Wplus9 Sparkle and Shine Stamp Set and dies, Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper, Ken Oliver Color Burst watercolour, Recollections card base, Recollections Clear detail embossing powder, Versafine Black Onyx ink, Creatology fun foam, clear adhesive squares from Forever in Time, Recollections card base and Scor tape.
Helpful tip of the day: Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT place your card face side down on your bookshelf under a heavy book when your Glossy Accents is not yet dry! NOT good….just saying!
