This card is just plain “Charmin”

No, it really is Charmin.

A while ago I took a class from the immensely talented Christy Riopel.  Truth be told, she is both a talented artist and an equally talented Chef.  I confess, I mostly took her classes because of the gourmet lunches she provided.  Just to prove I was listening when she talked about something other than what she was making for lunch, though, I have used her “toilet paper” technique on this card entered in the Newton’s Nook sketch challenge.

You heard me right……………………toilet paper.  Apparently, I WAS distracted by thinking about lunch when she explained how to do the technique, as it took me three tries to get the toilet paper mat to not ooze out all over and disintegrate.  I won’t tell you how long it took to get these sticky failures cleaned off my Bigshot cutting plates and my embossing folder.

Anyway, when I finally got it right,  I thought the result was cute and matched perfectly with Naughty Newton’s toilet paper adventure.

Newton's Nook Sketch Challenge

Supplies:  Newton’s Nook Naughty Newton stamp set, Recollections Cardstock, Pebbles Lakeside patterned 6 X 6 collection, Recollections card base, Darice paw print embossing folder, Scor tape and in the interest of truth in reporting……………Kleenix (Christy had said that the no pattern single ply cheap toilet paper worked best.  Well the toilet paper in my house was TOO deluxe and had a quilted design and disintegrated on  contact with the glue)
