Taylored Expression Sketch and Colour Challenge

I wanted to enter this weeks Challenge over at Taylored Expressions.  Of course, I felt the need to combine both the Sketch Challenge and the Colour Challenge into one card.  Normally, this is not too difficult but I also had decided to use the Holiday Grumplings stamp set, so using a Christmas themed stamp set with decidedly Halloween colours made for a bigger challenge.  At first no matter what I tried, the card screamed Halloween, and I almost changed the stamp set to the Costume Grumplings.  As what happens quite often, I vaguely remembered buying a single piece of Graphic 45 Christmas paper that was in a purple colour.  A search ensued and I found the paper in question.  With it came a dilemma as the “purple” side was clearly the “B” side of the paper.  On the other side was a colourful lovely full scene of the Nutcracker.  It seemed like murder or at least manslaughter to cut up the cute little dancing girl and the nutcracker.  It had to be sacrificed though and the deed was done.   I combined Wedding Dress Pico embellisher, Imagine Crafts Shimmer Spritz and a whole host of sequins and confetti to create a snow tsunami for the less than delighted Grumpling.   I think it turned out quite well.
