Inspiration Papertrey Ink

Today is release day at Papertrey ink.  The design team as usual has provided an amazing array of inspiration projects.  The challenge today is to be inspired by what will be available for purchase later this evening, but make something right now with what you have.

Of course as usual for me too, I can’t seem to take a simple inspiration like a colour scheme or design sketch and make something from one of my Papertrey sets.  Oh no,  I feel the need to make RIGHT NOW what I can’t buy until later tonight.  This means that I must act like MacGyver and fashion something out of nothing.  I actually like doing this but it always turns a 10 minute card into a 3 hour card.

Anyway my inspiration was this:

And I created this:

The floral wrap is the skirt of Exclusive Fashion Sense, embossed in white and put on the card upside down,  The stems are from the daisies in the Friendship Jar Fillers.  The flowers are from Pretty Petals, cut up to look like a bouquet.  The background paper is from Shakers and Sprinkles kit.  The bow is from Pretty Pink Posh and the little tag is from Simon Says Stamp, as are the little stamps on the tag.  Whew!  My craft room is once again a total disaster but the card looks quite nice.

  2. This is crazy genius and as sweet as can be! You are so clever to use that dress upside down. I never would have thought of that. Your bouquet of sweet flowers are sure to bring a smile to someone’s face. Awesome!!

  4. Oh my, clever is your middle name! Love that you thought outside the box, and came up with a wrap that was a dress (in it’s former life!) Beautiful!
