Papertrey Ink Adding Shadows with a Marker

The challenge on Papertrey Ink today is to use a marker to add shadows to a project. I didn’t have a word die from Papertrey Ink that was large enough for me to add shadowing.  I used a word die from Casual Friday and paired it with Papertrey Ink’s Doodlie Do stamp set, as they both had a casual feel.

I didn’t want the shadowing to look too stark on the card so I decided to use the palest mauve copic marker I had to create the shadow.  Keeping a steady hand as I traced around the word die was the trickiest part.  The next trickiest part was just sitting on my hands and calling the card done.  I might try  a variation on this technique by filling the card front with more Doodlie  Do flowers or by adding the same mauve shadows to the flowers, but this card is done.
