Papertrey Ink – Make it Monday – From Black and White to Colour
The challenge today at Papertrey Ink was to make something partially in black and white and partially in colour. I have done this type of card before with both a colouring/painting theme and with florals, so this time I wanted to try it with a different type of image. I looked through my stamp sets until I saw the Keep Swimming set. I thought the sea would be quite pretty in black and white and super cool in aqua colours.
In the end, I decided to add Shimmer Pico Embellisher to the fish. That made my whale recede into the background and he was supposed to be the star of the show. What to do, I decided to add the same embellisher to him. I had what I thought was barely enough Shimmer Embellisher left in my bottle, so I squeezed quite hard. Out came a TON of liquid onto the whale (yes, pun intended) and it was quickly spreading and threatening to pour all over the ocean area. What to do. A quick run to the bathroom for a tissue to sop up some of the liquid, saved the day. Now, the next Make it Monday may be posted before this image is dry enough to attach to the card base, but if I can just be patient……………………..

(go for a shower)

If I had the right keys on my keyboard, I would type out the Jeopardy final question music……………………..
Ok couldn’t wait and I took it outside and perched it on a stump of a tree and tried to take a quick picture before the wind blew the whole still wet thing into the dirt below. The picture is not the best but at least it is not covered in dirt.
Supplies: Papertreey Ink Keep Swimming stamp set, Copic markers, Lifestyle crafts nested labels, fun foam, Pico Shimmer Embellisher, Elizabeth Crafts Metals 6 X 6 patterned paper, Simon Says Stamp card base and Scor tape
