My Favorite Things has an amazing challenge on this month.  It is called the 2016 Superstars Card Contest.

The only prerequisite is that the cards be new and use only MFT stamps and dies.  Pretty simple I thought as I am a MFT fan and have a number of products.  What I found after digging through my stash is that I have more dies by far, than I have stamp sets. This makes things more challenging.  Because up to 3 entries are allowed, I thought I would use one retired stamp set, one older stamp set, and the newest stamp set that I have at hand.  I have a really new one coming by Pony Express but I don’t expect to get it in time for this challenge.

I decided to start with Recipe for Happiness as it was still sitting in my new drawer, even though I had ordered it the minute, I could find it in stock.

I think it turned out quite cute with its patterned paper background of a floured counter top.  I used the blanket stitch die to “sew” the edges of the table cloth and the fence posts from the Barbed Wire Fence die to make the table legs. I add red “spills” from the Abstract Art stamp set.  Pico Embellisher in clear gives the pot and utensils and salt shakers their glassy and enamel looks  Embossing powder in gold adds some shine to the Chef’s jacket.
