A Walk on the Wild Side

I wanted to use the June 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit. The card I came up with does not resemble the card I had in my head when I started out.  Truth be told, I now have about ten background pieces made with Tonic Shimmer Powder none of which ended up on this card.  They are very nice backgrounds, just not the look I was going for in a jungle theme.

In the end, I opted for a savannah sunset using oxide inks and blender brushes.  I stamped the grasses using Versamark. This resulted in a faded image of the grasses on the green background.  I liked this look as it made the grasses appear further back in the scene.  The tiger was painted with Arteza real brush markers and embossed with clear embossing powder.

I used thin strips of foam tape to attach the jungle border to add more dimension and depth to the card.

I think the card turned out quite well.
