Day 2 Spring Card Camp

Today the lesson tutorial was about making two cards from one stamping session.  Instead of putting a normal sized card front into your stamping platform and stamping out your image, you put a piece of cardstock 8.5 by 5.5 into your stamping platform.  This piece of cardstock has a temporary line drawn down the middle (4.25).  The idea is that you stamp both on and alongside the line you have drawn.  You end up with two cards from one stamping session and the bonus is that the placement looks more natural than if you had stamped two card fronts separately.

I decided to use Distress Oxide inks because they stamp well on the kraft cardstock that I wanted to use.  The cards turned out well except for my one sentiment not being straight.  This necessitated me cutting down the one card front to straighten the sentiment.  It all worked out though, as I ended up liking this card the most.IMG_1836
