Spring Card Camp Day 6

The tutorial today presented by Kristina Werner was on simple paper piecing.  Amazingly this time I did find it actually simple to do.  Right on my desk was a new to me 6 X 6 paper pad from Kaisercraft.  This meant I knew that I would have multiple sheets of coordinating patterns.  Having patterns that “go” together is more than half the battle in paper piecing.

I liked the colour combination so well, I decided to follow through and foil the sentiments in a matching bronze foil.  I have a third card ready to go as well.  I am just deciding how to change up the final decoration.  I am also going to give the watercolour paper piecing a try, so I will end up with at least six cards.

I like these two cards as I think the design is neither too feminine or too masculine and are truly an all-occasion design.

  1. I love the way you turned the pattern on the circle piece so that it opposes the pattern going on in the background. Nicely done!
