A Little Late to the Party

Before I left for the winter in Phoenix, I had ordered the Bee Bundle from Stampin Up.   The bundle was waiting for me when I hastily returned early due to Covid-19.  I can say that the bee designer paper from this bundle,  is my all-time favourite from Stampin Up.

The stamp and die set was sitting in my “New” drawer screaming to come out and play.  I know I am very late to the party as the new 20-21 catalogue is now out, but I still wanted to see what I could do with this set.  The not late to the party part is that I designed a slimline card which is taking cardmaking by storm right now, and I used a brand new slimline wonky stitches die by Trinity stamps.

I had a tough time deciding which of the designer papers to use, so I set about making a second card so that I could use more paper and elements.  It is unusual that I have actually cut into this paper without having a second collection to hoard.

Wild Whisper 6 Feet Apart

It was Christmas in the Debbie drawer at work.  I even tried to disguise the bag from myself, when bringing it into my craft room Yes, there was that much.  I didn’t actually realize how much I had ordered when everything was held up due to Covid-19.  Well, it is all arriving now.

One of the most anticipated arrivals was the 6 Feet Apart Collection from Wild Whisper.  This collection is just brimming with great images and clever sentiments.

The idea I had with this card was to make the elements recyclable.  I wanted to be able to make a sample card for the store, but I also wanted these great images for a scrapbook layout later when I document what a wonderful year 2020 was…………NOT!   By putting the elements on a slimline tag from Pinkfresh Studios, I can just cut off the front of the card at a later date and add it to a Covid-19 layout…………..easy peasy.

I got Happy Mail

It was a great day in the mailbox yesterday, as I finally received my April Kit from Hero Arts.

I feel like I am very late to the party, but set about making some cards with the kit.  The theme is/was Australia and it has some wonderful stamps and dies to support this.  These cards were all made with an add-on stamp and die set from the Heroscapes line.  I love the realistic look of the beach and ocean.
