2018 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop #9
Ok, I lied. I managed to make one more card before leaving for work.
I wanted to use The Daily Grind collection from Photoplay. I mean if you don’t use it for a coffee bloghop when can you use it?
I wanted to repeat the pattern on the background on the focal cup. I used Amplify to make the dimensional coffee cream. I like the idea a lot, but my execution of the card was hurried to say the least.
Check it out.

The little sloth is back today. He is just too cute and deserves a second card. This time Lawn Fawn’s Knit Picky provides the background. My Favourite Things Ice Cube shaker pieces double as sugar cubes in this card. The spoon is from a tea cup die set from Simon Says Stamp.

Today’s card used a stamp set that was an add-on product from a recent Hero Arts Monthly Hero Kit. I have always had a fascination with the amazing scenes that Baristas can create with the cream in my coffee so I was immediately drawn to this stamp set. When I realized I could use Puffy embossing powder to give fluffy dimension to the cream, it had to go in my cart.
The Scalloped Circles die from Lawn Fawn, Doodlebug Sprinkles and coffee coloured sequins turned the whole thing into a cute shaker card.

Somewhere along the line, I bought the die that I used for this post. I don’t know where or how I got it. I do know that I must have got it in a sale. , because it is always the impulse buys that I can’t remember. I swear that this die just jumped in my cart of its’ own accord. Then later, when I looked in my “new” drawer for inspiration, there it was. I had recently seen a video that featured a fall card with this die set and so I took that as a sign. I can’t remember where I saw the video to give proper inspiration credit. Where I live the “Fall” ship has sailed already. We are supposed to receive 12 centimetres of new snow this weekend, but since this design is perfect for fall colours, I went with that theme.
I made my own sequin mix using some Bottle Cap sequins from Brutus Monroe as the base. It turned out so well that I wished I had made a bigger batch of the mix. The die is from Sizzix and is called Multi Window Shaker die. I think it will end up being quite versatile and I will find uses for it in both cardmaking and scrapbooking. I love it when an impulse buy works out so well. The coffee cup is from Jane’s Doodles. The patterned paper, wood grain and glitter cardstocks are Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp. The coffee sleeve cardstock is from Stampin Up (Discontinued so I have to hoard it). The big leaves are from My Favorite Things

Where did November go? It is hard for me to believe that the month is over. The good news is, that means that the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop launches today.
It is a welcome break to make something that is not a Christmas card. I have been fascinated with sloths ever since I first saw the commercial with the sloth playing Charades. Maybe it is because I sympathise with the stress of trying to finish something while the clock is ticking down. Whatever it is, it caused me to buy this Newton Nook stamp the instant that I saw it. I also wanted a chance to use the Coffee Rings foiling acetate from Brutus Munroe, so this card came together quite quickly. Patterned paper from Moxie (Coffee Addict) supplied the background while the mat is patterned paper from Lawn Fawn’s Knit Picky.
