Coffee Lovers Spring/Summer Bloghop Day 8

This is the last day of the Coffee Bloghop.  You would think that time would be dragging under the current circumstances, but it sure doesn’t feel that way.  Maybe, I have just become so inefficient.  As I told someone the other day, I am going to have to start getting dressed on Monday for work on Tuesday or I am going to be late.  Yes, I am going back to work on Tuesday!

This card is a very simple one with a lot of assistance from the Ciao Bella paper. It also features one of my favorite animals at the moment, being the sloth.  I probably like them so much because they make me look ambitious by comparison.   I am telling myself that I am doing something quick so I can get outside to get some gardening done.  We will see if that happens.

20Spring-SummerBannerFor today’s card, I decided to use the Magic Iris die.  I had taken a class at Creativation using this die.  I had some difficulty following Kelly Marie Alvarez’s simple instructions and my  “iris” winked but did not close. LOL.  I don’t like to leave a project in a not done right state and so I was anxious to make this one correctly.  I am happy to say this one worked out and looks nice with the great Ciao Bella coffee paper.

For today’s card, I decided to do a slimline card with some rainbow coloured coffee cups.

Coffee Lovers Bloghop Spring/Summer 2019 #4

Once more I have used the Ciao Bella Paper………………………..I must be reformed…………………so often I am loathed to cut in to and use up my favourite papers.  This time though the focal image and sentiment are from Altenew.

The sentiment makes me laugh out loud, as I am very conscientious about never running out of coffee.

Recently, I bought the impossible die designed by Christina Widemark at Scraps of Love, Peoria, Arizona.  It occurred to me that this card type is perfect for a gift card.  It also occurred to me that  the Ciao Bella paper collection would ensure that the recipient knew this card was about coffee.

I did mention that the wonderful Buongiorno Italiano from Ciao Bella would be back before the Coffee Lovers Bloghop was over, but even I didn’t expect it to be teamed up with Lawn Fawn and Honey Bee stamps.

I always thought the Blah Bunny from Honey Bee stamps looked like she needed a jolt of coffee to improve her disposition. You can see the “change” in her attitude via the Picture Changer die from Lawn Fawn.

This card was so much fun to make it even changed my mood for the better!  Enjoy!

Coffee Lovers Bloghop spring/Summer 2019

Once again time has flown by and it is time for the first Coffee Lovers bloghop of 2019.  I am always conscious of the next coffee bloghop coming up and look for new coffee stamps and patterned paper as a regular part of my craft supplies shopping.  I hit the jackpot this go-round with the exquisite Buongiorno Italiano collection from Ciao Bella.  It has both an elegant and a casual feel, so I think it will turn up on my cards several times this week.

I have used the Karen Burniston Coffee Cup pop-up before, but it is such a classic for giving a coffee card to someone that I had to use it again.  Just using different paper makes the card look fresh.  The only problem with this card is photographing it.  I confess to glueing the card front and back to my dining room table for the photo.  Don’t worry “no wood finish was harmed during the filming of this post”………..at least I hope not.

Here is the card inside and out:

The  Altenew sentiment says, “Coffee …when your brain needs a hug”.   Isn’t that so true.
