Posting a scrapbook layout about a beautiful red balloon that picked our Phoenix backyard to launch from. The brilliant red colour against the intense blue of the Arizona sky was quite amazing.
Supplies: Backyard Ballon title cut on Pazzles electronic cutter and shaded with Copics, Cactus covered in Envirotex resin and popped up with Scotch foam tape. Sign made with Reverse Confetti All Framed up die. Waxed red twine from Monthly Hero Arts kit. Zigzag die is from My Favorite Things.
In a blog post a while back I complained about Sandra “outpublishing ” me (ok so I complained in more than one blog post).
Later in the year before last, I finally got some Happy Mail. I got an email informing me that it was time find a pizza box that wasn’t covered in greasy cheese to use for mailing, because one of my layouts had been chosen for publication! Oh Happy Day!
This layout was published in the Canadian Scrapbooker:
Canadian Scrapbooker Winter 2013-2014
The category was using resin on a layout. My friend, Kim H. had introduced me to using resin back in the day when we worked together at Scrapbooker’s Paradise. She is totally amazing at using this stuff. In fact she made me not one but two name tags to wear at the store. The first one reflected what I thought I looked like and the second one, was what Kim thought I looked like. No matter, I love them both!
