Coffee Lovers SpringSummer 2020 Bloghop Day 3

I have had the stamp set I used from Skipping Stones Design for years.  I had to bring it out again as it personifies me exactly during this current scourge.  It is 1:34 ande I am still in my PJ’s thinking about wanting another cup of coffee.

It always makes for a nice card, and the patterned Coronavirus paper fit in quite well here.  It looks like a floor, baseboard and wallpaper,

Coffee Lovers Bloghop Day 1

I have been making a large number of blog posts lately.  First there was the Spring Card Camp that lasted 20 days.  This was followed by the unexpected Spring Card Camp 2 which is still in progress and will also last for 20 days.  On top of this I have been busy making card samples for the Scrapbook store that I work for.  Now today, is the first day of the Coffee Lovers Spring Summer Bloghop.  This bloghop has been very good to me.  I have been lucky enough to win a prize every year but one.

The only real rule of this bloghop is that every card be new………no backlinking allowed.  I decided to use an up to the minute and very topical patterned paper to show that this card is not back linked.

Although I can honestly say that I detest the symbol on this patterned paper, Photoplay has made it palatable with the happy bright colours.

Coffee Lover’s Bloghop Day 6

Today I combined four different stamp sets to create this little “Coffee Mirage” scene.  I am always happy when I pull out one of my first stamp sets and use it again.  Justifies, why I just grow my huge collection and never de-stash.  Anyway,  I know that we are to combine coffee with winter as the theme for the bloghop.  So it is winter in my desert scene, but how do I show it?  By making the coffee cup look like the new Starbucks Winter Cup, that is how.

Take a look:

Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop #5

This might be my last card for the fall bloghop.  I do have another stamp set, that I don’t think I have ever used for these bloghops but time is running out.

This card came out of no where.  I wanted to make a card with a coffee bean background that I had made with distress crayons, but by the time I picked out the stamp and sentiment, my mind went in a totally different direction. It was going to be a bit of a throw in card without much thought, but surprisingly, I ended up liking it a lot.  I think it is because I really wanted to use the sentiment and it went well with the other elements I chose.

Finally, My New Stamp Set

Well, here it is, my new stamp set, bought specifically for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I think the stamp set is just new to me, and not NEW NEW.  It is a great one though from Skipping Stones Design.  I got another stamp set from them at the same time………..cause hey that is how I roll………………….always trying to make the shipping per item less $$.  It is a great one too, and I already have a certain person’s Birthday card in mind for that one.  But I digress……..

What attracted me to this coffee stamp set is the fact that it had exactly me and my Craft uniform as the main image.  Really…………………hair askew, one of 3 ratty blue bathrobes on and my bunny slippers.  This is the uniform I wear when I craft.  The challenge I tell myself is to get dressed before the mailman arrives at 1:00 pm.  This is a challenge I have failed at, .. many times.  The mailman rings my doorbell every time I get a little stamp parcel.  I think he likes to see me dance around (dressed , of course), when I get Happy Mail, but he could do without the ratty housecoat.

I decided to watercolour this card as that seemed to evoke the same disheveled look as the coffee loving crafter on the front of the card.  I think it turned out well.
