Spring Card Camp Day 8
Today’s tutorial was presented by Cathy Zielske. The idea was to make a shaker card with one part of a diecut and use the negative piece on another card.
I started out by watercolouring stripes on a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. At first glance, I didn’t like it as I thought the blue was too strong for the rest of the stripes, but I decided to treat it like a prototype card and see what happened. In the end, the blue dried back some and I added more colour to the greens and the card was a keeper.
I am not consciously doing it, but I have noticed that I am drawn to sentiments that are about coping in this crazy environment. The sentiment on these cards is from Erin Lee Creative and it just seemed to fit.
