This week on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, crafters are to take inspiration from the letter “I“.

Instead of sitting “idle” I decided to do something with the word “idol”.  Geez, I can already hear the groans…………..oh well, moving on.

I have chosen to use a Deep Red stamp of my idol, John Wayne.

It  is difficult to decide how to decorate the background of a card with a black and white stamp.  I decided to keep it simple with very little colour, so that the stamp could remain the focal point.

Supplies:  Deep Red John Wayne stamp (aka Rooster Cogburn), Taylored Expressions Wild West stamp set,  Sizzix Polaroid Frame die, Simon Says Stamp Woodgrain cardstock, fun foam, Authentique Genuine patterned paper, unknown metal stars, Recollections card base and Scor tape.
